First Socks (Session 2)

  • Untangled Purls 2553 Cowan Blvd Fredericksburg, VA, 22401 United States (map)

When you knit socks you are connecting to a tradition that unites cultures and spans centuries. Socks are the quintessential knitting project; they're portable, meditative, and technically interesting. In this class, you'll learn how to knit socks the traditional way, with double pointed needles (DPNs) from the cuff down. You'll be able to to take what you learn and make your sock knitting as simplistic or complicated as you like, sticking with stockinette or moving to more interesting stitch patterns, heels, and toes.
