Grandpa-Inspired Designs Engage Knitters in New Book Little Man Knits

”You want this book! If you’ve got small people in your life, particularly little guys, this is a book that you want. This book knocks it out of the park!” - The Knitmore Girls Podcast

“Yeees! There are too few patterns for little boys. Wish I could have had this book when my boy was a little man.” - Jamie Hoffman (@knitosophy), knitting influencer and knitwear designer

Acclaimed knitwear designer Alex Capshaw-Taylor’s playful new book Little Man Knits: 22 Grandpa-Inspired Designs for the Little Man in Your Life is now available for purchase at Worldknits (www.worldknits.com/little-man-knits) and other online retailers.

In Little Man Knits, Capshaw-Taylor has created a collection of 22 grandpa-inspired garments and accessories sized from 6 months to 10 years that is both adorable and accessible for knitters of all skill-levels. With projects that range from beginner to advanced, Little Man Knits engages with knits and purls, cables and traveling stitches, stranded colorwork, intarsia, and duplicate stitching. Complementary features of this book are special technique tutorial videos, created by Capshaw-Taylor, and knitting calculators that assist knitters in tailoring garments to their exact needs.

The designs feature classic silhouettes with a vintage aesthetic and interesting color and texture motifs, versatile enough for both little men and women. Little people will love wearing these pullovers, cardigans, pants, mittens, socks, and hat as much as knitters love making them. These timeless pieces will quickly become family heirlooms, being passed down from generation to generation.

Capshaw-Taylor’s inspiration began in 2016 when her little man was just a year old. Searching for patterns to knit her love into stitches, she saw a gap in the world of little boy knitting patterns. In Little Man Knits, Capshaw-Taylor has helped to close that gap by creating a stand-out collection that mixes her signature tailored silhouettes with a touch of lightheartedness. This book is ideal for anyone with a little person in their life!
